Web Log Query 2
After learning a bit about the different types of Web 2.0 apps that are available for a teacher's website, I believe that is a great variety of apps that would be useful to me as a university student. One of the most important apps that could be added to a teacher's website would be a sort of course calendar in which assignments are posted on their respective due dates... along with links that take the student to the actual requirements of the assignments. Staying on task and meeting the appropriate deadlines are very important to me as a student, so this type of application would really help me navigate through the course. Next, a gradebook application would be a large help to students. Most students are always anxious to find out what grade they received on a particular assignment... and how that grade effects the overall grade for the class. Knowing the amount of effort that needs to be placed into required assignments is important to me and most other university students. A gradebook application is a good idea for a teacher to include in his or her website. Communication between students and the teacher is always a great help to students when they are trying to complete an assignment and may not understand the directions. It would also help when studying for a test and realizing there is a concept that is still not quite understood. In today's day and age, it should be relatively easy to get in touch with a professor or other students in the class. The professor should try and make this as easy as possible.
